Th1nkDev was born from a simple conviction: Africa doesn't need to wait for technology to arrive — it needs to build it, own it, and use it to shape its own future.
The beginning
Two developers, one neighbourhood, one shared ambition.
It all started in 2015 in Ekounou, a neighbourhood in Yaoundé. Biya Paul and Victor Lucien Njoh Ndame were working independently, each building PHP applications from scratch for local businesses and institutions across the city.
They shared the same drive: deliver real, working software that solves real problems. When they decided to join forces, Th1nkDev was born — not from a business plan, but from a shared belief that African developers could build world-class products on African soil.
Our journey
11 years of building, learning and growing.
The founding — Ekounou, Yaoundé
Biya Paul and Victor Lucien join forces and start delivering custom PHP applications to businesses and institutions in Yaoundé. Every project is built from scratch, every line of code hand-crafted.
Partnerships & landmark projects
Collaborations grow with Stratochange, MvengEngineering and Mayem Solutions. The team contributes to ambitious platforms: Argon (full school management), Season (Cameroon's AirBnB-style rental platform), Stratochange (automated government project governance), and Ndabiang (comprehensive hospital patient management).
Going international
Th1nkDev begins collaborating with international partners — Workbud, Wring — and takes on freelance contracts for clients abroad, contributing to projects such as SeriesAddict and Monamut. From this point forward, the team contributes to more than 50 distinct projects.
Training & consulting expansion
Alongside client work, Th1nkDev starts offering one-on-one and group training sessions for developers. The team also begins a lasting collaboration with FASEYA, a Senegalese consulting firm, delivering software for several of their clients.
The studio moves to Douala
Th1nkDev relocates its studio to Douala, Cameroon's economic capital, moving closer to the businesses and institutions it builds for. Douala has been the company's base ever since.
Officially registered — a new chapter begins
Th1nkDev is officially registered in the Cameroon trade and companies registry, formalising years of activity. The team begins its full expansion strategy: new services, a structured academy, and a roadmap for continental growth.

How we work
A small team,
a wider delivery capacity.
We are deliberately a small studio. That means the person who designs your product is the one who writes it and the one who answers you — not a project manager relaying messages.
Since 2025, we work with AI-assisted development agents. This lets us deliver, at constant quality, a volume that would otherwise require a much larger team. We would rather state it plainly than let you find out — and we frame it with four firm commitments.

No line reaches production without being read, understood and approved by a senior engineer. The agent speeds up writing; it never decides alone.
Your data does not leave without written consent
No data belonging to you is sent to a third-party model without your explicit authorisation. Where your context requires it — healthcare, finance, public sector — we work in isolated configurations, without exception.
Intellectual property fully assigned
Delivered code belongs to you, AI assistance included. You inherit no grey area over what you own.
