CV Action

Career document platform designed for the African market: resumes, cover letters, hosted portfolios, business cards, and email signatures, all in one app.

1 / 10

Project Overview

Applying for a job is not writing a CV. It's assembling a dossier.

A candidate is judged on a set of documents that rarely agree with each other: a CV written in a word processor, a cover letter started from scratch each time, a business card designed a year ago, an email signature never updated, and a portfolio that exists only as a promise. CV Action brings all of it into a single application file — structured CV, cover letter, online portfolio, business card, and email signature — every piece drawing from the same data source.

That shared source is the whole point. Change a job title, a phone number, a certification, and the change propagates across the entire dossier at once. Nothing is retyped, so nothing drifts out of sync. What used to be four tools and four rounds of copy-paste becomes one profile, maintained over a career rather than rebuilt for every opening.

Quality is treated as a feature, not an outcome. The preview a candidate sees and the file a recruiter opens run through the same rendering engine, so the document never breaks on download. A dedicated pagination engine arbitrates the page breaks itself — a role is never split in half, a heading is never stranded at the bottom of a page — regardless of how long the career history runs. Every export also ships an ATS-readable variant, so that automated screening filters on substance rather than formatting.

The platform also closes the loop at the other end, with a job listing aggregator: the dossier is not built in a vacuum, it is built against real openings, and the same profile that produced the documents feeds the applications.

The product is designed for a context that Western tools quietly assume away: unstable connections, local application conventions, fragmented payment methods, and multilingual audiences. Six languages are supported, Arabic among them — with a layout genuinely mirrored for right-to-left reading, not a translation dropped onto a Western template. These are not accommodations added at the margin; they are the conditions the product was built under.

The result is a professional dossier that stays coherent, stays current, and holds up the moment someone opens it.

The Problem

01 / 03

An application isn't won on a resume. It's won on a dossier: the resume, the cover letter, the business card, the email signature, the online portfolio.

In practice, every piece is built separately — in a word processor, an old template, a different tool each time. Three consequences:

· No coherence. The resume, the letter and the signature don't describe the same person.

· Quality below the candidate. Strong profiles get filtered out on formatting alone: broken margins, a role split across two pages, a file the screening robots can't read.

· The cost of repetition. Every new document means retyping everything — and reintroducing errors along the way.

Candidates aren't short on substance. They're short on a maintained dossier.

Our Solution

02 / 03

CV Action is a professional dossier workshop: one identity, entered once, rendered into documents that hold up editorially.

· One profile, the whole dossier. Resume, cover letter, business card, email signature, online portfolio.

· Quality isn't left to chance. An A4 pagination engine arbitrates the page breaks itself: never a role split in half, never a heading stranded at the bottom of a page.

· What you see is what the recruiter opens. Preview and final file run through the same rendering engine.

· Writing assistance, not autofill. AI rephrases an experience, tightens a summary, adapts the tone to the target role.

· Six languages, including Arabic in RTL: the layout is genuinely mirrored, not translated on top of a Western design.

03

Impact

03 / 03

What the candidate gains, measured on the shipped product:

· From 4 tools to 1. A complete dossier — resume, cover letter, business card, email signature, portfolio — used to take four separate tools and four rounds of retyping. It now takes one.

· From several hours to a few minutes. Layout, page breaks and export variants are no longer manual work: the product arbitrates them.

· Zero gap between screen and file. Preview and PDF share one rendering engine. "That's not what I had on screen" is eliminated by design, not by checking.

· A dossier that clears the filters. Every export ships its ATS-readable variant — automated screening no longer rejects a profile over formatting.
